The 98/99 Series devices are wide stile heavy-duty push pads. The 98/99 Series have all been certified to the highest industry standards and are commonly used in higher education, K-12 schools, hospitals, hospitality, and government buildings among others, Modular design allows ability to upgrade device to keep up with changing technology and meet a facility's changing needs.

For increased security the XP98/99 Rim Exit Device has a static load force resistance of more than 2,000 pounds, twice that of standard rim exit devices. The two-piece latch bolt forms a 90 latch-to-strike contact. With a door loaded to 250 pounds, XP98/99 requires less than 40 pounds of pressure to open, 25% less than the safety code requires. XP98 and XP99 rim exit devices for all types of single and double doors with mullion, UL listed for Panic Exit Hardware.

Cylinder dogging (CD) - Cylinder dogging is available on all 98/99 Panic exit devices to replace the standard hex key dogging. Unit requires a standard 1 1/4" (32mm) mortise cylinder with an inverted straight cam.

The XP98 device has a smooth mechanism case and the XP99 device has a grooved case.
