Accentra Key Blanks
Accentra and Yale Commercial are the same brand. Yale Commercial's lock division was rebranded to ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA as part of the parent company's consolidation. The cylinders, key systems, and key blanks are continuous across both names. If your facility's hardware schedule lists Yale keyways, the Accentra blanks on this page are the correct products.
The Accentra cylinder line covers mortise, rim, key-in-lever, key-in-knob, and interchangeable core formats across both SFIC and LFIC. Key blanks on this page are sold in packs of 50 for authorized commercial key cutting operations and locksmiths holding key system authorization for facilities running Accentra or Yale cylinder systems.
Yale Key Blank vs Accentra Key Blank: Same System
If you searched "yale key blank" and landed here, you're in the right place for commercial cylinder applications. Yale and Accentra are the same system under different brand names. The RN11 and RN117 blanks here serve Yale commercial mortise and cylindrical cylinders.
One note: the standard Yale padlock keyway (Y1, Y11) used on residential padlocks and entry locks is a different key section from the commercial RN11/RN117 cylinder blanks.
RN11 vs RN117: 6-Pin vs 7-Pin
The two primary Accentra key blank series map to pin counts in the cylinder.
RN11 is the 6-pin blank for Accentra/Yale 6-pin cylinders. Used in standard commercial applications where a 6-pin cylinder provides adequate key combinations for the master key system. Sold in boxes of 50.
RN117 is the 7-pin blank for Accentra/Yale 7-pin cylinders. The additional pin tumbler increases usable key combinations, which matters in larger master key systems where the 6-pin format doesn't provide enough distinct bittings across every hierarchy level. Hospitals, universities, and government buildings running large multi-level programs typically specify 7-pin cylinders. Sold in boxes of 50.
Order the blank matching the pin count of the installed cylinder. The original key system documentation will confirm it if you're not certain.
Keyway Codes: GA, GB, GMK, SMK, PARA, GH
After the RN11 or RN117 prefix, the keyway code identifies the specific profile. It must match exactly.
GA and GB are standard Accentra/Yale commercial keyways across their cylindrical and mortise line. GA and GB are different profiles and not interchangeable.
GMK and SMK are Multiplex keyways - part of the Accentra KeyMark restricted key control program. A Multiplex keyway blank cannot be duplicated at a standard key shop. Duplication requires authorization through the documented key system chain of custody.
PARA (E1R) is the Para keyway used on specific Yale/Accentra cylinder applications, particularly interchangeable core configurations.
GH and GST are additional profiles used on specific Accentra cylinder models. Confirm the keyway code from the cylinder or key system documentation before ordering.
RN vs FN: Change Key vs Control Key for SFIC
RN blanks are change key blanks - the keys users carry to operate the lock day to day.
FN blanks (FN117C, FN118C) are control key blanks - the keys that allow an SFIC core to be removed from the lock body without tools.
If you're ordering blanks to cut change keys for users on a Falcon SFIC installation, order RN. If you're cutting control keys for the key system administrator, order FN. The profiles and cut depths are different - a change key blank cut to a control key bitting will not work.
Brinks Padlock Key Blank, Emtek Key Blank, USCAN, and IN8
Emtek key blank / Emtek key blanks: Most Emtek residential and commercial hardware uses the Schlage C keyway (SC1) on standard product lines. If your Emtek hardware takes an SC1 key, a standard Schlage C blank is what you need. Some Emtek products use their own restricted keyway - check the key or cylinder for the keyway designation before ordering.
Brinks padlock key blank: Brinks padlocks use specific blank profiles depending on the model (common: Ilco 1636/SUN1 series for Brinks security safes). These are consumer padlock blanks, not commercial cylinder blanks. We can confirm the correct blank for your specific Brinks model before you order.
