Falcon Key Blanks
These Are Commercial Door Hardware Keys - Not Automotive
If you searched "falcon ignition key" and landed here, these products won't help you. The Falcon on this page is Falcon Locks - an Allegion brand that makes commercial door hardware including cylindrical locks, mortise locks, and exit devices. Falcon ignition keys for vehicles are a different product entirely and are available at automotive locksmiths and key shops.
If you're a facility manager, locksmith, or contractor who needs key blanks for Falcon commercial door lock cylinders, you're in the right place.
What Falcon Key Blanks Are For
Falcon lock cylinders use specific keyway profiles that require matching key section blanks to cut keys correctly. The keyway - the shape of the slot the key enters - determines which blank works in a given cylinder. Using the wrong blank produces a key that physically enters the cylinder but won't align the pins to the correct cut depths, or won't enter at all.
All nine products on this page are blanks for Falcon commercial lock cylinders. They sell individually or in packs for authorized key cutting by locksmiths and facilities that maintain their own key systems.
Falcon Key Blank Models by Pin Count and Application
KB525 - 5-Pin. For Falcon 5-pin cylinders, primarily used in the Falcon W Series cylindrical lock line. Lighter-duty commercial cylindrical locks with 5-pin cylinders are typical in interior office and storage room applications.
KB577 - 6-Pin. The most common Falcon commercial key blank. Used across the standard Falcon 6-pin cylinder family in cylindrical and mortise lock applications. If you're ordering blanks for general Falcon cylinder service and aren't sure which blank you need, KB577 is the starting point to verify against.
KB581 - 7-Pin. For Falcon 7-pin cylinders. The additional pin tumbler increases the number of available key combinations and raises resistance to picking and decoding attacks. Specified on higher-security applications and larger master key systems.
KB590 - 6-Pin. A second 6-pin blank profile for a different Falcon keyway section. Not interchangeable with KB577. Confirm the installed keyway before ordering.
KB608 - 6-Pin, 25-Pack. Bulk pack of a standard 6-pin Falcon blank. The pack format is practical for locksmiths and facilities cutting multiple keys on the same keyway system.
KB718 and KB801. Additional Falcon keyway blanks for specific cylinder configurations in the Falcon product line.
Falcon SFIC Key Blanks and the Control Key
KB628 - SFIC Key Blank. For Falcon's Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) system. SFIC cores accept a change key that operates the lock and a separate control key that removes the core from the lock body. The KB628 is the change key blank - used to cut operating keys for users on a Falcon SFIC installation.
KB609-2CCA BLK - Control Key, 7-Pin. This is the control key blank for Falcon 7-pin SFIC cylinders. The black vinyl head distinguishes it visually from standard change keys - a deliberate design feature so facilities staff can immediately identify when someone is holding the control key rather than a standard user key. Control key access should be restricted to authorized administrators. The 2CCA designation identifies the specific Falcon SFIC keyway this control key is cut to.
Falcon Key Duplication and Restricted Keyways
Standard Falcon keyways can be duplicated at any locksmith shop that stocks the correct blank. However, some Falcon cylinders use restricted or patented keyways as part of a key control program - these cannot be duplicated at a standard shop without authorization. If you're ordering blanks for a restricted Falcon keyway system, you need to be an authorized key cutter in the chain of custody for that key system.
