The Adams Rite 4000-03 is a flat trim strike designed specifically for the MS-050 series hookbolt deadlock. The 4000 Series 4000/.03 trim strike adds a finished, professional appearance to the strike cutout in any door jamb, whether the lock is installed in aluminum storefront, hollow metal, or wood frame construction. It can be surface-mounted directly over the existing strike cutout or mortise flush into the jamb for a clean, recessed installation. What This Trim Strike Does
Most Adams Rite MS deadlocks are installed in aluminum storefront and hollow metal construction where the strike preparation is just a slot cut into the jamb. The slot works mechanically but leaves an unfinished edge that looks rough and exposes the cutout to wear, debris, and tampering. The 4000-03 trim strike covers that slot with an aluminum face plate, giving the opening a finished installer-grade aesthetic and adding a small layer of mechanical reinforcement around the cutout. This is the right specification when the existing MS-050 lock is already installed and the jamb just needs a clean cosmetic finish, or when a new MS-050 install needs to look professional from day one.
