Von Duprin 360T Thumbturn Trim, Classroom Function

The Von Duprin 360T is a Grade 1 auxiliary thumbturn control trim for Von Duprin 33A and 35A Series rim exit devices, configured for the classroom function. It provides a thumbturn on the inside of the door combined with an outside cylinder, with ANSI functions 11 and 12 field selectable. The cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately using a 1-1/4" mortise cylinder. The 360T is non-handed and fits either left-hand or right-hand applications without modification.

It's an Allegion manufactured product under the Von Duprin brand. American Locksets is an authorized Von Duprin dealer.

What the 360T Thumbturn Trim Does

A thumbturn exit device trim gives the occupant inside the room the ability to lock the outside of the door without using a key and without stepping into the hallway. The thumbturn rotates manually from the inside to extend or retract the locking mechanism that controls the outside lever. The key from outside performs the same lock/unlock function.

This makes the 360T a classroom-function trim: a teacher or room occupant can lock the door from inside during a lockdown event by rotating the thumbturn. Outside entry requires a key. The inside is always free for egress regardless of locked status.

ANSI function 11 and 12 are both field selectable on this trim without special ordering. Function 11 engages the thumbturn through the key from outside to lock or unlock. Function 12 provides a related configuration depending on specific application requirements. The installer selects the function during installation.

Compatibility: 33A and 35A Series Only

The 360T trim is designed exclusively for Von Duprin 33A and 35A Series surface-mounted rim exit devices. It's not compatible with Von Duprin 98/99 Series devices or CVR devices.

Compatible device models include: 33/35A rim, 33/35A Rim-F, 33/3527A, 33/3527A-F, 33/3547A, 33/3547A-F, 33/3548A, 33/3548A-F, 33/3549A, 33/3549A-F, 33/3550A, and 33/3550A-F.

Always confirm the exit device series on the door before specifying or ordering trim. The 360T will not mount to devices outside the 33A/35A family.

Physical Specifications

Base size: 7-1/2" x 1-11/16" x 7/8" (190mm x 43mm x 22mm).

Projection from door face: 1-13/16" (46mm).

ANSI function: 11 or 12, field selectable by installer.

Cylinder type: 1-1/4" mortise. Cylinder not included, ordered separately. The outside escutcheon accepts a standard 1-1/4" mortise cylinder in the keyway required for the facility's key system.

Handing: Non-handed. Fits both left-hand and right-hand doors.

It’s made from either brass or bronze as the base material, depending on the specific version.
