Exit device trim is the outside hardware that provides a means of entry from the outside of a door fitted with an exit device (panic bar) on the inside. Without outside trim, the door is exit-only - someone inside can push the bar to exit, but no one can enter from outside.
The 620F is the exit-only blank escutcheon trim. The 620F escutcheon is solid forged - not stamped sheet metal.
