About this item
The Alarm Lock Trilogy DL2700IC/26D is a Grade 1 standalone electronic keypad cylindrical lock with interchangeable core prep, satin chrome (US26D) finish, and fingertip programming for up to 100 user codes- no PC, no software, no controller required. It's one of Alarm Lock's most widely deployed locks across schools, healthcare facilities, pharmacies, retail, airports, and commercial buildings. American Locksets stock the DL2700IC/26D. Free shipping on orders over $300.
What the DL2700IC/26D Is
"DL2700" is the Trilogy T2 Series cylindrical keypad lock platform. "IC" designates the interchangeable core prep- the lock ships less cylinders and is prepped to accept 6 and 7-pin IC cores from Best, Falcon, Arrow, KSP, Medeco Keymark, and Kaba Peaks. "/26D" is the US26D satin chrome finish. The IC core is sold separately and is not included with the lock.
The "IC" version exists because most institutional buildings already have a master key system using interchangeable cores. If your facility uses Best SFIC, Falcon, or Arrow cores throughout, the DL2700IC drops into that system. Security managers can pull the core and replace it in seconds when keys are compromised or personnel change- no re-keying the entire lock, no calling a locksmith. Standard IC prep supports Best, Falcon, Arrow, and KSP directly. Special-order preps (-Y, -R, -C, -S suffixes) cover Yale, Sargent, Corbin/Russwin, and Schlage.
How the Lock Works
The DL2700IC uses Alarm Lock's clutch mechanism. The outside lever turns freely in the locked position- it spins without retracting the latch. This protects the internal mechanism from forced lever attacks, because there's no mechanical resistance to exploit. Entering a valid access code, using the physical key bypass, or triggering the remote override releases the clutch and allows the lever to retract the latch normally.
Inside, the lever always provides instant egress with no code required. That's the code-compliant default for any occupied space- no one gets locked in.
How to Change the Code on the DL2700IC/26D
The DL2700IC is 100% keypad programmable without any tools or software. Here's how code management works:
The master code is the top-level credential- the one used to program everything else. To add a user code, enter the master code sequence, then input the new PIN. To delete a user code, enter the master code sequence and the code to be removed. The full programming sequence is in the Alarm Lock programming guide included with the lock and available at alarmlock.com.
The code structure supports one master code, 10 manager codes (for supervisors who can add and remove basic users), 90 basic user codes (standard access), and 3 one-time service codes that automatically delete after a single use. All codes are 3 to 6 digits. If you need to lock out a single user, a group, or all users without deleting codes, the individual/group/total lockout function handles that from the keypad.
Entry time is adjustable from 5 to 20 seconds- the window between entering a valid code and when the lever must be turned. After that window closes, the lock re-secures.
