The Cal-Royal ICSTR05L is a storeroom function clutch lever trim for Cal-Royal exit devices, prepped to accept a Small Format Interchangeable Core from BEST, Arrow, or Falcon. If you're running a BEST 6 or 7 pin SFIC master key system and need a storeroom-function outside trim on a panic device, this is the part.

What Is the Storeroom Function and When Does It Apply?
The ICSTR05L carries ANSI Function 09, Clutch Storeroom. The outside lever is always locked and fixed unless a key is used to activate it. From the inside, the exit device push rail always allows free egress regardless of whether the outside lever is locked. This function is standard for server rooms, pharmacies, supply rooms, restricted-access storage areas, and any commercial opening where you want controlled entry from outside but unrestricted exit from inside at all times.
The clutch mechanism is the key design feature here. If someone applies excessive force to the outside lever when it's locked, the lever freewheels rather than transferring torque to the latch mechanism. This prevents the kind of forced-entry lever damage that wrecks standard rose-mounted trim designs. It's the right trim for high-security restricted openings, not a budget option.

Compatible Exit Device Series
The ICSTR05L is designed for use with Cal-Royal 2200, 6600, 7700, and 9800 Series exit devices. If your facility runs 9800 Series rim panic devices or 7700 Series surface vertical rod devices and you need to add or replace a storeroom-function outside trim, this is the direct match. The non-handed clutch design means one SKU covers left-hand and right-hand doors without ordering separately.
