Corbin Russwin ML2057 LSA Storeroom or Closet Mortise Lock, LS Lever

The Corbin Russwin ML2000 Series is the Grade 1 mortise lock line built for high-traffic commercial, institutional, government, and industrial applications where mechanical reliability over a decade of daily use is a baseline requirement. The ML2057 is the storeroom and closet function in that series: ANSI F07, outside lever always rigid, key from outside retracts the latch, inside lever always free for egress. The LSA trim configuration means LS lever with A rose, the Lustra Standard lever on the standard 3-11/32" diameter flat A rose. The lockcase is heavy-gauge chrome plated steel with a patented Quick Reversible latch that re-hands the lock in the field without disassembling the case.

ANSI F07 Storeroom Function

The outside lever is permanently rigid. It doesn't operate the latch under any condition except key use. Every time someone needs to enter from outside, a key is required in the outside cylinder. There's no push button, no toggle, no unlocked state for the outside lever. The door is always secured from outside between key entries without any manual relocking step.

Inside, the lever operates freely at all times. Anyone inside can exit immediately without a key, without a code, and without pressing anything. The auxiliary latchbolt automatically deadlocks the main latch bolt when the door closes, which prevents shimming or carding the latch from outside the door gap.

The storeroom function is specified for supply rooms, server rooms, utility closets, pharmaceutical storage areas, electrical rooms, and any space where the door must remain secured from outside at all times and inside egress must always be free.
