About this item
The Corbin Russwin ML2057 is the storeroom and closet function in the ML2000 Series mortise lock: ANSI F07, outside lever always rigid, inside lever always free, key-only outside entry, automatic deadlocking latch. It's a Grade 1 mortise lock with a heavy-gauge chrome plated steel lockcase, a two-piece anti-friction latchbolt, a one-piece stainless steel deadbolt, and a patented Quick Reversible latch that re-hands the lock in the field without disassembling the case. The LWA configuration means LW lever with A rose: the Lustra Wide lever design on Corbin Russwin's standard flat A rose.
The ML2057 LWA is the most commonly specified trim configuration in the ML2057 storeroom function. The LW (Lustra Wide) lever is Corbin Russwin's standard commercial lever profile, the A rose is the standard round flat rose, and the 626 Satin Chrome finish is the most common commercial architectural finish. When a specification calls for "Corbin Russwin ML2057," without specifying a trim code, the LWA is typically what the specifier intends. Storeroom Function, ANSI F07: The Specification Standard for Secured Rooms
Outside lever is always rigid. The only way to enter from outside is a key in the outside cylinder. The door is secured from outside at all times, between every entry, without any manual re-locking step after the door closes. Inside lever is always free. Anyone inside exits immediately without a key, without a code, and without pressing anything. The auxiliary latchbolt deadlocks the main latch automatically when the door closes, blocking shimming or carding attacks against the latch face.
The storeroom and closet function is the specification for mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, server closets, pharmaceutical storage, supply rooms, custodial closets, and any door that must always be locked from the outside corridor between key entries. It's the most restrictive standard cylindrical or mortise function for non-electrified openings: no push button, no toggle, no unlocked state for the outside lever at any point.

LWA vs. Other ML2057 Trim Configurations
The ML2057 lockcase is identical across all trim configurations. The three-letter trim code (LWA, LSA, LWN, LWP, etc.) indicates only the lever design and rose or escutcheon style. "LW" is the Lustra Wide lever, the broader standard commercial lever profile. "LS" is the Lustra Standard lever, a slightly narrower profile. The A-suffix indicates the standard flat A rose. The N, P, R, and M suffixes indicate different escutcheon configurations. If the building spec or existing door schedule uses LW levers on other Corbin Russwin ML2000 functions, the ML2057 LWA maintains visual consistency across all openings.
