On a double-door entrance where only one leaf has an active lock and latch, the other leaf needs a handle on both sides for visual balance and user experience. The ML2070 mounts on that inactive leaf and provides a pull handle on each side that matches the active lock's trim appearance exactly. ML2070 vs. ML2010: Dummy vs. Passage

The ML2010 is the passage function: a full active mortise lock with latch, deadbolt, and cylinder where both levers always operate the latch freely. The ML2070 (this product) is the dummy trim: no latch, no deadbolt, no operation of any kind. Both use the same LWA trim configuration so they look identical when installed side by side.

If a pair of doors has one active leaf and one inactive leaf, the active leaf gets the ML2010 (or whichever active function the opening requires) and the inactive leaf gets the ML2070. If both leaves need to operate, both get active function locks.
