About this item
The Dormakaba ITS96-25 is the solution: a concealed overhead closure that installs inside the door leaf, with the track inside the door frame head. When the door is closed, no hardware is visible from either side. The entire mechanism disappears.
The ITS96-25 uses a cam and roller mechanism rather than the standard rack-and-pinion design found in surface closers. The cam geometry creates a variable mechanical advantage across the door swing: opening force is low when the door is part way open (making the door easy to push), and closing force is maximum as the door approaches the latch position (ensuring reliable latching). The result is a door that opens easily, closes positively, and latches every time, all from a mechanism no one can see. The "25" designation is the spring size range: adjustable from size 2 to size 5 in the field to match the door weight after installation. NHO vs. HO: Non-Hold Open vs. Hold Open
The ITS96 Series is available in two operating configurations. The ITS9625HO is the Hold Open version: a mechanism in the track holds the door open at a selected angle between 80° and 130° until someone manually closes it. The ITS96-25 NHO (this product) is the Non-Hold Open version: the door closes automatically after every push with no hold-open feature. On fire-rated door openings, NHO is the required specification because fire code prohibits manually holding fire doors open except with code-compliant electromagnetic holders connected to the fire alarm. For non-fire-rated interior openings where automatic closing is required at all times, the NHO is also the standard specification.

ITS9625 vs. ITS9613: Choosing the Right Size Range
The ITS96 Series comes in two spring size ranges. The ITS9613 covers adjustable sizes 1-3 for interior doors up to 36" wide not exceeding 125 lb. The ITS9625 (this product) covers adjustable sizes 2-5 for larger and heavier doors. On a new installation, the spring is set to the midpoint of the range and adjusted after the door is hung and operational, based on closing performance under real-world conditions. If door weight and width fall within either range, the ITS9625 provides more adjustment headroom for doors that are heavier than anticipated or in locations with frequent hard openings from high-traffic use.
