The PRT03 is the rectangular pull handle outside trim for Dormakaba exit devices. There's no cylinder, no lever, and no key function. The outside trim provides a stainless steel D-pull handle on a 3-inch plate for outside access when the device is in the dogged position. When the exit device is dogged open (pushpad held down, latch released for free-passage periods), this pull handle is the only hardware visible and functional from the outside of the door. It gives occupants approaching from outside a clean, robust grip surface without giving them any control over the latch or the device from the corridor.
The PRT03 is the Grade 1, projecting rectangular pull configuration. PRT03 vs. PRT02: Two Pull Handle Configurations
Both the PRT02 and PRT03 are rectangular pull handle trims for Dormakaba exit devices. Both use finish 630 Satin Stainless Steel. Both are pull-only with no key function.
The PRT02 is the 3-inch wide flat plate trim: a flush, thin-profile rectangular plate with a minimal pull grip. It's the lower-profile option when the architectural specification calls for pull-only hardware that recedes from the door surface.
The PRT03 (this product) is the 3-inch plate with a projecting rectangular pull handle. The handle projects further from the door face, providing a deeper grip surface. It's the Grade 1 version: more robust construction, more substantial projection, and more ergonomic for high-frequency use on busy building entrances. For openings where aesthetics require minimal projection, the PRT02 is the choice. For Grade 1 performance with a more graspable pull, the PRT03 is the correct specification.

When to Specify Pull-Only Trim
Pull-only outside trim is the correct specification when outside entry control at that door is handled by a separate access point. In a building where the main entrance has an access-controlled electric strike or keypad, secondary exit-only doors that require outside re-entry don't always need full cylinder trim. If occupants who need to re-enter from outside all have main entrance access, the secondary exit device with a pull-only trim keeps hardware costs down and simplifies the door schedule without creating an access control gap.
