Dormakaba YR08-630-D, Raised Escutcheon Plate, R Lever with Cylinder

The YR08-630-D is the raised escutcheon plate trim for those devices in the entrance function (08): key locks or unlocks the outside lever. When the lever is unlocked, it operates the latch freely from outside. When locked, the lever is rigid and a key is required to get in. Inside, the panic push bar is always free for egress regardless of what state the outside lever is in.

The "raised escutcheon" is worth explaining. Two trim styles exist for the Y-Series: sectional trim (separate plates for lever and cylinder that mount in individual sections) and raised escutcheon (a single solid plate with a raised profile that covers the complete outside trim area in one piece). The raised escutcheon is heavier in material, cleaner in appearance, and more resistant to forced attack because there are no separate sections to pry apart. For high-security, high-appearance commercial openings on 9000 Series devices, the raised escutcheon plate is typically the correct specification.

Cylinder is included: Dormakaba 90-series mortise cylinder, Schlage C keyway, 1-1/8" length, 10 cam (model 90X10SC118). YR08 Function 08: Entrance by Lever

Function 08 on exit device trim is the entrance function. The outside lever is key-controlled: one key turn locks it, another key turn unlocks it. When locked, the outside lever won't operate the latch and entry from outside requires a key. When unlocked, the outside lever works like a normal door lever. This is the standard outside trim specification for controlled-access exit device doors where authorized staff need lever entry from outside and inside occupants need unrestricted panic egress at all times.
