The 679 series covers three distinct door and frame combinations. Specifying the correct variant for the door construction prevents installation problems and ensures the concealed switch body fits the prepared opening properly.
The 679-05 (this product) is for wood doors installed in wood frames. The switch and magnet bodies are sized and finished for wood construction, and the white finish blends with painted wood trim.
The 679-05WD is for wood doors installed in metal frames. The door-side component is the same, but the frame-side magnet is adapted for metal frame installation.
The 679-05HM is for hollow metal doors installed in hollow metal frames. This variant uses components sized for the narrower stile widths common in hollow metal construction and is finished in black Lexan to match standard HM door finishes.
