About the Double-Sided Keypad Function

Most Alarm Lock Trilogy models (DL2700, DL2800, DL3200) are single-sided: keypad on the outside of the door, mechanical egress trim on the inside. The DL5200 is the double-sided variant: programmable keypad on both sides, requiring code entry from either direction. This makes it the right specification for communicating doors between secure and non-secure spaces, healthcare openings between residential and visiting areas, gate enclosures where access is controlled in both directions, and any application where unauthorized passage in either direction must be prevented. Single-side programming is the operational advantage: facility managers do not need to walk to both sides of the door and program codes twice.

Programming Capacity

Holds up to 100 user codes, 1 Master code, 10 Manager codes, and up to 3 one-time user codes. Individual, group, or total user lockout codes. Manager or Master can engage passage mode to keep the door unlocked during business hours or scheduled events. All programming is performed through the keypad without software or PC connection. For larger user database transfers and audit-trail-style operations, the optional AL-DTMIII Data Transfer Module supports bulk programming.
