The 9000 Series is dormakaba's premium exit device platform, specified for high-impact applications in schools, universities, healthcare facilities, government buildings, and institutional commercial properties. The 9300B carries the same cast chassis and construction as the rest of the 9000 Series line, with a heavy-duty cast mechanism case providing superior durability against repeated high-traffic use and abuse.

The smooth, reduced-projection touchbar assembly on the 9300B minimizes catch hazards on the door face. The partial-length touchpad design accommodates field installation of options including cylinder dogging kits and exit alarm accessories without returning the device to the factory or replacing the main assembly. Wide stile touchbar, rail, latch bolt covers, and end cap are fabricated and finished in true base metal for true architectural finishes, not plating over dissimilar materials.

9300B vs. F9300B: Panic vs. Fire-Rated

The 9300B is the panic hardware version, UL listed for panic applications only. The F9300B is the fire exit hardware version, carrying an A label for 3-hour steel fire door applications and complying with NFPA 80. Both are ANSI Grade 1, UL 10C positive pressure listed. On openings with a fire door label, the F9300B is the required specification. On non-fire-rated egress openings, the 9300B is correct.

Available Electric Options on the 9300 Series

The 9300 platform supports a full range of electromechanical options available at the factory or as field-installable kits. These include ES (electric latch retraction for remote access), MLR (motorized latch retraction), alarm exit kits, latch bolt monitors, and cylinder dogging. Electric latch retraction must be powered by a PS-501 power supply and use the ES-105 power transfer.
