The L9010 is the passage function in the L9000 Series: ANSI F01, both levers always free, both sides at all times, no cylinder, no locking mechanism. It's specified on corridors, hallways, conference rooms, and any interior door that needs to latch shut without any access control, but where the rest of the building runs L Series mortise hardware and uniform door prep, trim style, and finish matter to the specifier.

What makes the L9010 worth its specification over a Grade 2 cylindrical passage lever is the construction. The lockcase carries both a 1" stainless steel deadbolt and a 3/4" stainless steel latch with anti-friction tongue in the same mortise body. The armored front is 1-1/4" wide and 8" tall. ANSI F01 Passage Function

ANSI F01 means both levers are always free. Neither side can be locked, toggled, or restricted. The latchbolt retracts when either lever is turned from either side at all times. Inside lever is always free for egress. There's no push button, no cylinder, and no key operation because the passage function has no security mechanism of any kind. If the opening ever needs to be converted to an entrance, storeroom, or classroom function in the future, the L9000 lockcase accepts those function changes without replacing the mortise body in the door.
