The ML2060 operates under ANSI F22. The latchbolt retracts by grip from either side, except when the outside grip is locked by the thumbturn on the inside. Operating the inside grip, closing the door, or using an emergency key from the exterior all unlock the outside grip. The inside grip is always free for immediate egress. That behavioral combination covers the two competing requirements on a privacy door: genuine lockable privacy from inside, and reliable staff access in medical emergencies or safety incidents without forcing the door.

The ML2060 cannot be specified with M19S or M19SN trim options. Confirm trim selection before ordering.

ML2060 Function F22 vs. Other Corbin Russwin Privacy Functions

The ML2060 uses Function F22, where the inside thumbturn locks the outside grip and the inside grip is always free. This is the standard choice for hotel rooms, healthcare consultation rooms, and office privacy doors.

The ML2020 uses Function F02, a bedroom/bathroom privacy function where the deadbolt controls access rather than a thumbturn locking the grip. The ML2030 uses Function F19, another thumbturn-controlled privacy function with slightly different egress behavior. The ML2069 uses Function F26 for institutional privacy settings. Mechanical Specifications

The ML2000 lock case is heavy-gauge steel measuring 5-7/8 inches (149mm) high by 4 inches (102mm) wide by 15/16 inch (24mm) deep. The front plate is heavy-gauge steel, 8 inches (203mm) by 1-1/4 inches (32mm), accommodating flat doors and doors beveled up to 1/8 inch (3mm) in 2 inches (51mm). UL independent cycle testing on the ML2000 Series was completed at 14.5 million cycles, verified under ID V875753. That number significantly exceeds the 1 million cycle Grade 1 certification requirement under ANSI/BHMA A156.13. For high-traffic institutional doors where the lock needs to outlast the renovation cycle, that margin matters. The lock carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty and UL listing for use on 3-hour fire-rated doors. Cylinder Compatibility and Trim Options

The ML2060 accepts Corbin Russwin mortise cylinders directly and is compatible with cylinders from most other manufacturers, including Schlage, Sargent, Falcon, and others, through the standard mortise cylinder format.
