Falcon W101S Grade 2 Passage Lever Set

The Falcon W101S is the passage function in the Falcon W Series Grade 2 cylindrical lever lock line. Passage means exactly that: both levers operate the latch freely from either side at all times. There is no cylinder, no key function, no button, and no lockout. The door latches when it closes and opens when either lever is turned. This function is used for closets, hallways, interior office corridors, break rooms, and any door that needs to latch closed but never needs to be locked. The W Series is Falcon's value-tier Grade 2 lever lock line, and the W101S is the most basic function in that series. W101S vs T101S: Grade 2 vs Grade 1 Passage

The Falcon T101S is the Grade 1 version of the same passage function in the T Series. Both are ANSI F75 passage locks with UL 3-hour fire rating. The W101S is Grade 2 with a 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" standard door thickness range. The T101S is Grade 1 with heavier internal construction and a 1-3/4" to 2-1/8" door thickness range.

For light commercial interiors, multi-family residential, retail, and standard interior corridor applications where Grade 1 is not required, the W101S is the correct specification. For institutional, government, military, and high-traffic commercial applications where Grade 1 is called for on the hardware schedule, the T101S is the correct upgrade.

UL-101-2P: What This Designation Means

Some commercial hardware databases and distributor catalogs reference the Falcon W101S as UL-101-2P or related format. The "101" refers to the Falcon passage function code in the W Series. "2P" references the Grade 2, passage (non-keyed) designation. The lock is UL listed for 3-hour A label fire doors. If your hardware schedule or database shows UL-101-2P and you're sourcing a Falcon W Series passage lever, the W101S is the product.
