This is the SAF (fail safe) configuration: power applied locks the door, and power loss unlocks it. The ML20932 SAF is the correct specification for tenant space entries, pharmacies, computer rooms, research labs, stairwell re-entry doors, and any high-security opening where a building code or fire alarm integration requires the door to unlock freely on power failure or fire alarm activation.

Function: Both Grips Locked When Energized, Double Cylinder Override

The ML20932 function locks both the inside and outside levers electrically when the actuator is energized. Neither grip operates the latchbolt while the actuator is active. The double cylinder designation means both outside and inside cylinders can override the electrical lock state with a mechanical key at any time, on either side of the door. This is what distinguishes the ML20932 from the ML20914 (single cylinder, outside only) and the ML20907 (no cylinder override at all). The double cylinder override is specified for openings where interior personnel also need mechanical key access, such as secured stairwells and double-locked tenant spaces.

The internal M92 request to exit switch option is available for access control integration and alarm shunting.
