About this item
The Accentra 352 is a single cylinder mortise deadbolt from the Yale 350 Series, with a key cylinder on the outside and a thumbturn on the inside. "352 x" in the Accentra catalog notation separates the function code from the finish designation: the function is always 352 (cylinder outside, thumbturn inside), and the finish code follows. Buyers searching "352 x 28" are specifying the 352 in US28 anodized aluminum. Buyers searching "352 x 26D" are specifying satin chrome.
It's an ASSA ABLOY product manufactured under the Accentra brand, formerly marketed as Yale commercial hardware. American Locksets is an authorized Accentra dealer.
How the 352 Single Cylinder Deadbolt Works
The outside of the door is secured by key. Turning the key retracts or extends the 1" deadbolt. The inside of the door uses a thumbturn — no key required for exit. The occupant rotates the thumbturn to retract the bolt and leave. This is the standard configuration for office entry doors, hotel room doors, storerooms, and most commercial and residential applications where keyed outside access and quick exit from inside are both required.
The 352 is non-handed and field reversible. The deadbolt can be reversed in the field without disassembly to accommodate both left-hand and right-hand swing doors.
350 Series Function Codes: Where the 352 Fits
The Accentra 350 Series covers six deadbolt function configurations:
351: Double cylinder, key from both inside and outside. No thumbturn.
352 (this product): Key from outside, thumbturn from inside. Standard single cylinder configuration.
353: Single cylinder from outside only.
354: Thumbturn inside only, no outside cylinder. Exit-only application.
356: Double cylinder with thumbturn inside.
357: Single cylinder outside, classroom thumbturn inside.
The 352 is the most commonly specified function in the 350 Series for commercial applications where keyed outside access is needed but inside egress must remain unimpeded.
