Cal-Royal ROC30 US26D Grade 2, Passage Lever Lock, Satin Chrome

The Cal Royal ROC30 is a Grade 2 cylindrical passage lever lock from the Challenger Series. ANSI function F75: the latchbolt operates from either side by lever at all times. There's no key, no cylinder, no locking mechanism- both levers turn freely and retract the latch. ROC is the Rochelle lever design, a modern rounded lever profile that ships standard in US26D Satin Chrome.

Passage locks get specified on interior doors that don't need security or privacy: conference rooms, open-plan corridors, restroom anteroom doors, storage closets, interior stairwell doors that don't need locking, and any commercial opening where free passage is required in both directions at all times.

ROC30 vs ROC50: Passage vs Entry Function

The "30" suffix in Cal Royal's Challenger numbering indicates passage function (F75). The companion models in the ROC lever family use a different suffix for different functions.

ROC30 (this product): F75 passage. Both levers always free, no key, no cylinder included or required.

ROC50: Entry/keyed function. Outside lever requires key to retract latch. Inside lever always free. Cylinder included.

ROC40: Single dummy. Lever acts as pull only, no mechanical function.

If your specification calls for a keyed entry lever in the Rochelle style, the ROC50 is what you need. The ROC30 is specifically for unkeyed passage applications.

Where Grade 2 Gets Specified vs Grade 1

The Challenger Series sits at ANSI/BHMA A156.2 Series 4000, Grade 2. That means it's certified for 400,000 cycles- well suited for light to medium commercial traffic like interior office corridors, hospitality, apartments, and light institutional applications.

For higher-traffic openings (main entries, high-use corridors, institutional environments with 1,000,000+ cycle requirements), Cal Royal's Calypso (CAL30) Grade 1 is the right step up. The ROC30 is the cost-effective choice when Grade 2 performance is specified and a larger product budget needs to be managed across a multi-door project.

Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (thicker door range than many Grade 2 competitors, which often cap at 1-3/4").

Backset: 2-3/4" standard. Optional 2-3/8", 3-3/4", and 5" available.

Latchbolt: 1/2" throw, solid brass, reversible for right-hand or left-hand installation.

Front: 2-1/4" x 1-1/8", adjustable for flat or beveled doors (1/8" in 2").

Latch and strike screws: 8-32 x 1" FPH dual purpose.

Strike: ASA standard packed. "T" strike and full lip strike available on request.

Handing: Non-handed.

Cylinder and Keyway Options

The ROC30 is a passage lock, so no cylinder is required or included. For the ROC50 entry version, the standard cylinder is a 6-pin solid brass "C" keyway. Optional keyways for keyed models include Schlage E, Schlage C-K, Russwin D1/D2/D3/D4, Corbin 59/60, Corbin Russwin L4, Sargent LA/LB/LC, Falcon/Weiser E, Arrow A, Yale 8, Yale GA, and Kwikset. High-security cylinders- Medeco, ASSA, Kaba, Cal Royal HSK- are also compatible. IC options accept BEST, Falcon, and Arrow 6 or 7-pin cores.
