Rail material is compatible with both. Touchbar, rail, latch bolt covers, and end cap are all fabricated and finished in true base metal, meaning the finish is consistent throughout the material and not a coating over a different substrate.

The device is non-handed. Rim devices and all associated trim can be installed on left-hand and right-hand doors without modification, which simplifies ordering on projects with mixed door hands.

Hex key dogging is included on non-listed units. This allows the latch to be retracted and held open during business hours, converting the door to free swing without removing hardware.

9300A vs F9300A: Panic vs Fire Exit Hardware

The 9300A is a panic-rated exit device for non-fire-rated openings. The F9300A is UL-cUL fire rated for fire-door openings and carries the fire exit hardware listing. Specifying the wrong rating is a code violation on fire-rated openings, so confirm the door's fire rating before ordering.
