Mounting configurations and door type compatibility
The 8102HD-0 is available in four mounting configurations. Single pull thru-bolt is the standard configuration for wood and hollow metal swing doors, where the screws pass through the door face and are secured from the back. The concealed metal door configuration uses blind tapped holes in the pull returns and a specialized mounting plate, which is the correct setup for hollow metal doors where visible through-bolts aren't acceptable. The concealed wood door configuration uses a different fastener arrangement suited to solid wood doors with a finished interior face. The back-to-back configuration pairs two pulls on opposite door faces using a single set of longer through-bolts, which is the correct specification for glass doors and frameless entrances where a single-sided pull would be structurally inadequate.
When specifying the mounting configuration, confirm the door construction type before ordering. The thru-bolt configuration is the most commonly stocked. The concealed and back-to-back configurations may require factory ordering or different hardware kits.
Finish options and the 8102HD series size range
Nine finishes are available on the 8102HD-0: B3 bright brass (605), B4 satin brass (606), B10 satin bronze (612), B10B oil rubbed bronze (613), B15 satin nickel (619), B26 bright chrome (625), B26D satin chrome (626), PA28 satin aluminum (628), and S32D satin stainless steel (630). The satin stainless option is available in both 304 and 316 series, with 316 the correct choice for coastal and high-humidity environments where chloride exposure is a factor.
