The Schlage B664 is the cylinder-outside-only configuration of Schlage's B600 Series, the hardest-working commercial deadlock in the line. The key operates the bolt from the exterior. There is no trim, thumbturn, or rose on the interior side, making the B664 the correct specification for doors that require key-controlled egress from one direction only. Storage rooms, utility closets, server rooms, pool gates, secondary corridor doors, and common-area access points are where this deadbolt consistently gets specified, exactly because it offers full-strength Grade 1 security without giving anyone inside the ability to unlock from within.

This is not a residential deadbolt with a commercial label on it. The B600 Series is Schlage's toughest heavy-duty Grade 1 commercial deadlock, engineered specifically for high-traffic openings where a lighter-duty product would fail within months.

The B664 accommodates doors ranging from 1-3/4" to 2" (44mm to 51mm) in thickness. Backset is 2-3/4" (70mm) standard with a 2-3/8" (60mm) option available. The front measures 1-1/8" x 2-1/4" (29mm x 57mm), square corner, beveled, in brass, bronze, or stainless steel. Installation requires a standard 1-1/2" cross bore.

Cylinder, Keyway, and Keying Options

The B664 ships standard with a 6-pin conventional cylinder in the C keyway, including two nickel silver keys. For facilities running key control systems or master key programs, Schlage also offers this deadlock with a full-size interchangeable core (FSIC) cylinder or small format interchangeable core (SFIC) cylinder, both orderable directly through American Locksets.

Keyway options include the standard C keyway, E keyway, Everest C123, and Everest C145. Keying configurations available at checkout: standard, keyed alike for multiple-door installations, and master keyed. Grand master keying and construction keying are also supported, making the B664 a natural fit for large-scale projects and new construction where temporary key access is needed before final keying is assigned.

The Schlage B664 meets ANSI/BHMA A156.5 Grade 1 with conventional cylinders. It carries a UL 10C listing for 3-hour fire-rated applications as an auxiliary lock on A label single doors and 4' x 8' assemblies. It is also UL 10B listed for neutral pressure doors. The product is Buy American Act (BAA) compliant. Warranty coverage is three years limited.
