The dummy lever does not retract a latchbolt and has no chassis or spindle through-mechanism. "Single" means one matching pair (one inside, one outside) through-bolted together. How to Install and Remove the BEST 9K01DT Dummy Trim
Installation uses standard ANSI A115.2 cylindrical door prep. The 9K01DT mounts via through-bolt studs that pass through the door and thread into the outside lever sub-assembly. To install, position the outside lever and rose against the door face, pass the through-bolts through the prepared door holes, align the inside rose, and tighten the through-bolt screws to spec. To remove the dummy trim, loosen the through-bolt screws on the inside rose first, lift the inside rose and lever off the bolt studs, then pull the outside lever and rose off the opposite side of the door. Because the 9K01DT has no chassis or spindle through-mechanism, no internal disassembly is required.
