What Makes the N-FMR9800 Different from the Standard 9800 Rim Device?

The standard Cal-Royal A9800 is non-handed and uses a rim latch. The N-FMR9800 is handed because the mortise lock body must align with the ANSI A115.1 door prep, which is specific to the door handling. You must specify RHR (Right Hand Reverse) or LHR (Left Hand Reverse) when ordering. The device is field reversible after installation, but handing must be confirmed at time of order. This rating applies to single doors and pairs of doors swinging in the same or opposite directions within the 8' x 8' envelope. For fire-rated applications, cylinder dogging is not available. Dogging is only permitted on non-fire-rated versions of the 9800 mortise device.
