The bolt construction is worth understanding

Inside the 1-inch bolt is a 1/4-inch hardened steel roller. When a saw blade contacts the face of the bolt, that roller spins freely and prevents the blade from cutting through. That's what makes it an anti-saw bolt. It's not a marketing language. It describes a specific mechanical behavior that separates this bolt from cheaper deadbolts that a hacksaw can work through in under a minute.

The lock body itself mounts to the door with 1/4-inch heat-treated steel through-bolts. They pass through a reinforcing steel plate and thread into the back of the cylinder housing. Someone can't grab the cylinder from outside and pull it free. Someone can't kick the door and have the lock peel off the face because the attachment is through the door, not just into it.

Three cylinder options, one lock body

The D141P is the standard configuration: Falcon's G keyway cylinder. If the building already runs a Falcon G keyway master key program, this is the correct pick and it keys right into the existing system.

The D141CP uses a Schlage C keyway cylinder. Same Grade 1 lock body, same bolt, same everything -just the keyway changed to match a Schlage C master key program. If every other cylinder in the building is Schlage C, this is the one to order.

The D141BD ships with an SFIC housing and no core. For facilities on a BEST-compatible Small Format Interchangeable Core program, the housing is ready for whatever IC core the key control department needs to install. The core goes in with the control key and comes out the same way. No locksmith, no downtime.

Keying options are Keyed Different (standard), Keyed Alike (each door uses the same key), or Master Keyed (different keys per door, one master opens all). Specify at time of order.

D141 vs. D241

The D241 is the Grade 2 version of the same single-cylinder function. Same bolt size, same thumbturn inside. The difference is in the internal construction and the grade certification. The D141 has through-bolt attachment and Grade 1 specs under A156.5. The D241 is Grade 2. If Grade 1 is called for on the hardware schedule or the opening takes real daily abuse, the D141 is the right call. If Grade 1 isn't required and the application is lighter duty, the D241 does the job.

D141 vs. D131

The D131 is the double-cylinder version. No thumbturn. Both sides need a key. This is specified when there's glass in or near the door that someone could break to reach a thumbturn. The problem is life safety: if someone inside doesn't have their key, they can't get out. Before specifying D131 anywhere, confirm with the Authority Having Jurisdiction whether double-cylinder deadbolts are allowed on that particular opening. A lot of fire codes restrict them.
