How does the LCN 4030-3049 hold-open arm work?

A standard regular arm allows the door to swing freely and return to closed under the closer's spring tension when released. The 4030-3049 hold-open arm adds a mechanical detent at the shoe that catches and holds the door at a pre-set open angle. The door is manually closed by pushing it forward past the hold-open detent, or through an integrated release mechanism such as a magnetic hold-open device connected to a fire alarm relay. The hold-open angle is adjustable at the shoe without removing the arm from the door, so installers can fine-tune the hold position during or after installation.
