Schlage CO-200-CY-70-KP Cylindrical Keypad Lock - Computer Programmable with Audit Trail - Classroom / Storeroom Function    The CO-200 is computer or manually programmable with users rights stored on the lock.

The Schlage Utility Software (SUS) mobile app for Android devices is designed specifically for use with the SUS-A cable to set up and act as the link between access control software and select Schlage electronic locks and accessories. This new SUS mobile app and cable replaces the previous SUS solution using a Handheld Device(HHD).  (sold  separately, Click Hare)

About this item

The Schlage CO-200-CY-70-KP is a standalone commercial keypad lock from Schlage's CO Series  cylindrical chassis, classroom/storeroom function, keypad-only credential reader, computer programmable, ANSI/BHMA A156.25 Grade 1, UL 294 Listed, up to 2,000 users and 2,000 audit events, and 4 AA battery powered for up to two years of operation. American Locksets stocks the CO-200-CY-70-KP.

 

What the CO-200-CY-70-KP Model Number Means

 

Every segment of the model number tells you the configuration. "CO" is the CO Series platform. "200" means computer programmable with audit trail; the CO-100 is manually programmable only, without audit capability. "CY" is the cylindrical chassis. "70" is the classroom/storeroom function code. "KP" is a keypad-only credential reader. Knowing this lets you order the right variant without ambiguity. If your application needs proximity card access in addition to PIN, the CO-200-CY-70-PRK adds that reader. If you need just a storeroom without classroom toggle capability, the function is still 70  classrooms and storerooms share the same function code on the CO Series.

 

How the Classroom/Storeroom Function Works

 

In classroom mode, a valid toggle credential on the outside keypad switches the lock between secured and passage states. Push the PIN and the lock enters passage  the door can be opened freely from outside without repeating the credential. Push the PIN again and the lock returns to secure. Inside lever always provides free egress regardless of the locked state.

In storeroom mode, the lock is always secured from outside. A valid credential on the keypad grants a momentary release; the outside lever retracts the latch for the access event, then the lock re-secures automatically. Inside lever is always free.

Both modes are governed by the same credential: the 3 to 6-digit PIN entered on the 12-button keypad.

 

Programming the CO-200: How It Works

 

The CO-200 can be programmed two ways. Manual programming handles basic user add/delete operations at the lock itself using the keypad. Computer programming via Schlage Utility Software (SUS) on a compatible Android device  connected to the lock through the SUS-A cable  handles bulk user management, audit retrieval, and schedule-based access configuration. Schlage Express software or select PACS alliance member access control systems manage the CO-200 for larger multi-door deployments.

The Handheld Device (HHD) is the field tool: plug it into the lock to add or remove users, pull audit records, or push updated programming from the host software  all at the door, no network connection required. All user rights are stored on the lock itself, not in the cloud or on a server.

On the CO Series keypad, programming sequences use the 12-button layout. The button combination 0 4 7 8 B D is referenced in CO-200 programming procedures  specifically during factory default and master code entry steps.
