About this item
The Tell LC2675 CTL is a Grade 2 passage cylindrical leverset from Tell Manufacturing's LC2600 series with the Cortland lever design. If you've been searching "lc2675" or "tell set" -the LC2675 is the passage function in the LC2600 line, and CTL is the Cortland lever abbreviation. Passage means both levers are always free, always unlocked. No key, no button, no lock function. The lever retracts the latch from either side at all times.
CTL: What Cortland Means
CTL identifies the lever design -Cortland. It's Tell Manufacturing's standard commercial lever profile: a clean, straight lever with gentle radius at the grip end that satisfies ADA lever requirements. It returns appropriately from the door face, meets the lever length and projection requirements for accessible hardware, and works on both single and double-door installations. The Cortland is the most common lever across the LC2600 series and is the standard lever when no specific design is otherwise specified.
LC2675 Passage Function in the LC2600 Series
The LC2600 series spans several ANSI functions. The LC2675 is specifically the passage set -ANSI F75, latchbolt operated by lever from either side at all times. Both the outside and inside levers always retract the latch. There's no locking capability and no key slot in the outside lever. This is the correct function for interior corridor doors, hallways, storage closets where no access control is needed, conference rooms, open-plan office spaces, and any opening where the door simply needs to open and close without hardware restricting it.
Other LC2600 functions serve different purposes. If you need a locking function -privacy, entrance, storeroom, classroom -those are different model numbers in the same series. The LC2675 is strictly passage.
Build Quality and Grade 2 Context
The LC2675 is ANSI A156.2 Grade 2, tested to 400,000 cycles. Grade 2 covers the broad middle tier of commercial use -light to medium traffic commercial buildings, multi-family residential, offices, schools, hotels, hospitals, and anywhere Grade 1 extra-heavy-duty specification isn't required. The chassis is cylindrical steel with zinc dichromate coating for corrosion resistance. Tell uses a removable thru-bolt design standard -the thru-bolts that secure the lock to the door can be removed in the field, which simplifies rekeying and lock swaps without requiring full disassembly.
UL listing covers 3-hour fire doors. The "F" mark and UL symbol on the latch front face confirm the fire listing. The latch is stainless steel with a 1/2-inch throw and a 1-1/8-inch by 2-1/4-inch square corner faceplate.
Backset and Door Range
Standard backset is 2-3/4 inch. The 2-3/8-inch backset version is also available -specify at time of order. Door thickness range is 1-3/8 inch to 2 inches, covering both standard and thicker commercial doors. Door bore preparation is 2-1/8-inch diameter for the cross bore, 1-inch diameter for the edge bore -standard commercial cylindrical door prep.
The strike is a square corner 1-1/4-inch by 4-7/8-inch ANSI ASA T-strike. Non-handed. Rose diameter is 3-1/4 inches.
