Trimco 3815L Automatic Flush Bolt: How the 3800 Series Patented Design Works

An automatic flush bolt secures the inactive leaf of a paired door without any manual operation from the user. When the inactive leaf closes, the flush bolt engages the top and bottom floor or header strikes automatically. No handle, no thumb turn, no manual bolt operation required from inside the opening. The door closes and latches itself into position.

The Trimco 3815L achieves this through a patented mechanism that contains one third fewer parts than competing automatic flush bolt designs. With fewer moving parts and key structural components constructed of stainless steel, the 3815L delivers a statistically more reliable product across its service life.
