The 3347A is the grooved mechanism case version of the Von Duprin CVR device. The 3547A is the mechanically identical smooth case version. The two are dimensionally interchangeable. The grooved vs. smooth distinction is purely visual, for matching the aesthetic of the wider door hardware schedule. If the building runs Von Duprin 33A or 35A rim devices with grooved cases on other openings, the 3347A matches. If the schedule uses smooth case 98/99 Series devices, the 3547A is the visual match.

The EO suffix designates exit only function. There is no outside trim, no outside entry capability. The pushpad operates the top and bottom latching bolts from the interior side only, with no outside lever or cylinder. This function is correct for stairwell exit doors, perimeter egress doors, and any opening where exit is required but no entry should be possible.

Why Concealed Vertical Rod vs. Surface Vertical Rod

The 3347A/3547A series routes both the top and bottom rods inside the door stile. No hardware is exposed on the exterior face of the door. That has two practical consequences. Fluid Dampener Standard on All 33A/35A Devices

The fluid dampener is standard on every 3347A/3547A device.
