The 3547A-EO carries an exit only (EO) function, meaning the device provides egress from the interior without outside trim engagement. It ships less outside trim as standard. For openings that require a keyed entry function, a thumbturn, or a lever from the exterior, outside trim is ordered separately from the Von Duprin Exit Device Trims collection.

The smooth mechanism case distinguishes the 3547A from its counterpart, the 3347A, which carries a grooved case. The smooth case is the visual identifier for the 35A product family. If your hardware schedule calls for 35A series active devices on the active leaf, the 3547A is the correct CVR model to match.
