The Falcon W501 is the standard entry function in Falcon's W Series Grade 2 cylindrical lock line, built by Allegion. W501 Entry Function: How It Works

From outside, the lever retracts the latch normally when unlocked. From inside, a push button on the inside rose locks the outside lever - the button sits in the locked position until someone turns a key from outside or rotates the inside lever. Once either of those happens, the button pops out and the outside lever works freely again. The inside lever is never locked. Anyone inside can exit at any time.

This is the correct specification for apartment unit entry doors, office entries, retail storefronts, hotel guest rooms, and any door where the person inside needs to be able to lock out the outside on demand but always needs to be able to exit. Cylinder Options and Keyways
